Our Mission

     The purpose of this corporation is exclusively charitable, as the term used in Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We provide assistance to needy persons and families in the upper portion of Montgomery County, MD and adjacent areas in the form of emergency food, holiday food baskets and gifts, transportation, furniture and emergency financial assistance. No one shall be denied service because of race, color, creed, age, sex or marital status.

Service Area

     We serve the areas of upper Montgomery County covered by zip codes 20871, 20872, 20882 north of Brink Rd and 20876 from route 27 north of Brink Rd. On a case by case basis we provide help to people who live just over the Montgomery County line in Monrovia (Frederick County).

 
 

Every year for Thanksgiving in February close to 100 restaurants in Montgomery County, Maryland join together to support the hunger relief work of local nonprofit agencies by contributing a percentage of their sales. For over 20 years, Thanksgiving in February has helped to raise funds that feed our hungry neighbors. Funds raised go to support 10 Montgomery County agencies providing food and grocery money to those in need. Please "click" on the graphic for more information on this important event.
